I conduct research at the intersection of medical informatics, artificial intelligence, semantic technologies, and data science to advance trustworthy, human-centered digital health. My work focuses on FAIR data, semantic interoperability, privacy-preserving distributed analytics, and machine-actionable knowledge for learning health systems.
My ambition is to transform health data into interoperable, explainable, and machine-actionable knowledge that enables trustworthy AI, accelerates scientific discovery, empowers patients and healthcare professionals, and supports evidence-based decision-making without compromising fairness, equity, privacy, confidentiality, or societal values.
My research spans medical informatics, AI in healthcare, semantic web technologies, clinical decision support, patient empowerment, research data management, and the ethical and societal implications of data.
